The
Jewish Children's Regional Service (JCRS) is a social work agency and charitable fund
providing help in the way of scholarships for Jewish summer camp
programs, grants and no-interest loans for college, Jewish family
counseling and referral, and tuition assistance and other aid for
Jewish children with physical, emotional, and/or learning
disabilities. We serve Jewish children and young adults living
in the seven Southern states of
Alabama,
Arkansas,
Louisiana,
Mississippi, Oklahoma,
Tennessee, and Texas. To see how we help and what we have done recently, please

The
agency began as an orphanage in 1855 and is currently the oldest,
existing Jewish child welfare organization in the United States. We are also the only regional Jewish child welfare agency in the
US. For more details about the origins of the JCRS, please select History

Primary
services include the JCRS Programs for scholarships for college
education, overnight camps, and special needs. The agency also
conducts adoptive home studies and consults on developmental problems
and issues related to the development and needs of children.
